Now is the Time for Great Leadership

Turbulent times call for great leaders.

Fear is the challenge that many leaders face in tough times. That can cause paralysis and overreaction. Our challenge is to recognize this and adapt and not overreact.

Part of adapting will involve creativity. Old plans need to be revisited. Constructive creativity is key. Part of adapting will involve change. In every change is opportunity. Good vision comes from looking at the changes and figuring out how to capitalize on them. Embrace change now more than ever.

We grow the most when we are challenged.

  2. I see a lot of opportunity for new products and services during this economic crisis.Even though people are down in the dumps, there's always someone out there helping them get back up and on top of things.

  3. Jim,

You may want to consider the book Dropping Almonds by Bach Anon as a tool to understanding the dynamics and "lack" of leadership permeating corporate America for several years. A very fresh and real approach to getting back to the basics.

  4. In the long-term the crisis is simply the market's way to rid itself of less talented and less caring managers. Perhaps those much needed great leaders will turn out to be Warren Buffet and co. rather than Obama/McCain.
